Come and learn what it is like to be a real musher! Our packages will teach you all about our amazing sport, give you lots of time to love on the dogs, go for a thrilling ride where you can help drive the sled, and most importantly, show why we love our pups so much. Our guides will lead you through our thrilling course as you get the opportunity to experience a truly authentic mushing adventure. Our goal is education first, and to inspire you along the way. Our pups love to share their passion with you, they are not circus animals and as such, we believe in helping the dogs throughout the course, just as a real musher would. Our sledding tours are designed to keep our dogs stress free and happy. This is a physical activity and with that, hiking/pushing/walking is involved during some portions of the trail, and we will require your participation when driving the sled. Children are welcome to ride in the basket. Our tours can be a workout for drivers, but these are truly authentic and thrilling. Drivers are welcome to switch off between sitting and driving. If you are looking for a tour where you sit and the dogs slave away and do all the work, these tours are not for you. Each package can take from 90 minutes to 120 minutes. Please read our Pricing and FAQ section below for more info.

This unique experience is designed to take you deeper into the world of sled dogs. Our tours will take place at our ranch, year round. Our Guests will also get a kennel tour, presentation, play time with the dogs, and the ride. THIS IS A PHYSICAL ACTIVITY! You will get to drive the sled with the musher, and with that, hiking/pushing/walking is involved during some portions of the trail. Children are welcome to sit in the basket. This tour is great for all families. Drivers can switch between sitting and driving. Children are welcome to take a turn driving as well, and is a lot of fun for them too. Our pups are not circus animals though, we don’t expect them to do all the work. We will be going at their pace. Refunds and discounts will not be offered due to guest participation with trail hiking /pushing /walking. In some parts our trail does climb up a hill and then will also have a very exciting downhill. We have tandem sleds, so one person can sit, and the other will drive with a musher. We can fit 2 people per sled and have a 375 lbs. total guest passenger weight limit. If you can meet the weight limit with three guests (strict weight limit applies with three guests, usually a combo of adults and children are the only ones that will be allowed) on one sled, we can add on a third guest for an additional $100.00 rider fee.

Priced per sled, up to 2 people with a combined weight limit of 375 lbs before snow clothes and boots. This course is an advanced trail and as such will require more endurance and strength. This is a physical activity and with that, hiking/pushing/walking is involved during some portions of the trail, and does require participation. This package is geared towards more athletically inclined guests. This is a great way to dive into the sport and experience what the world of dog sledding is truly all about, dogs and humans, working together. This package can take up to 2 hours (time may be less, dependent upon guest training completion and skill level).

    • TIME CAN GO OVER! Our dogs are not machines and we do go at their pace. Weather and trail conditions can impact our tour time. Please allow plenty of cushion time between activities or flights. If you have transportation needs, please text 435-714-0411. This will go on a first come first serve, limited seating available

    • Feet are the first thing to get cold and can become very uncomfortable. If your feet get cold, it can make the day miserable. Make sure you check the temperature rating before you buy your boots. The temperature can get into the negatives or single digits. You will be standing for a good portion of the tour, and that lack of movement can allow your feet to get cold fast. There are several great boots on the market. Uggs are good for dry snow and can keep decently warm with good thick or double layer socks. Muck Boots are great for wet snow or any snow conditions with thick socks. The best boot you can buy, and will last you for years to come, are by Steger Mukluks, available online. Buy early, they sell out fast, but are SO worth it!!!

    • I have an uneven number of people in my group, how many sleds do I need? ~If a third rider cannot fit within the weight limit of 375 pounds, you would need an additional sled for that guest. Pricing per sled remains the same.

    • Is this activity good for kids? ~Yes! This is a great activity for families! We have had all ages out with us. We usually recommend kids ages 3 and up only because it can get cold for the little ones after a while.

    • How physically demanding is this tour? ~There will be some walking and standing during our kennel tour portion. We do walk down a trail for a little way over to where we get on the sleds, nothing crazy. For the ride portion, we have what we call tandem sleds. These have a spot for a guest to sit, a spot for our guide to stand, and then another spot where a guest will stand to help drive the sled. For whoever stands on back with our guide…while we go up the mountain, we may ask that you help skate or lightly walk with the sled on some of the notches. This can be a workout in those sections, nothing crazy, but it will get your heart pumping a little. The dogs do go slow up the mountain, which is what we want!! They will roll in the snow, and stop often. We want that, so it is always fun for them. Our dogs are not circus animals, so we do help them up the mountain. Our guides will do the heavy duty work, they may ask for your help to keep momentum in those few spots. The main thing, is that you hold on and have fun!!! Our guides will do all the hard work. Again, you can sit and switch off with whoever is sitting in the sled.

    • Can I do a split ride, where I split the sled time with my group in half and reserve just one sled? ~We cannot do a split ride. Our course goes up a mountain and then comes back down, there is nowhere to switch out riders in the middle. You would need to reserve the number of sleds needed for your group to all go for the ride. If some want to join only for our kennel tour, that is an option.

    • I need more sleds, can you add more on? ~We have a limited number of sleds. If you have a bigger party, please try to reserve a day with all sleds available or book multiple days. You can also look at our Sled School Adventure. This is another way groups can experience an even more in depth ride.

    • Can I ride while pregnant? ~We recommend pregnant guests wait until next season. We would love to have you after your sweet baby arrives! You can still join us for a kennel tour!

    • Do you have a waitlist ~Yes, please look at our winter services booking tab on our scheduling calendar. You will see the waitlist there. You can schedule as many days as you would like.

    • Do I need to cancel the waitlist? ~No. We will call you if anything does open up. You have to tell us “yes”, before we can give you an active reservation. Otherwise, you do not need to cancel the waitlist, it will just pass by.

    • Do I get a refund if cancelled? ~We do not charge anything other than the inital deposit until the day of the tour, just in case weather changes what we can offer. We have a 48 hour cancelation policy. If you cancel before that, you will not be charged anything. If you don’t cancel before that, you will be charged the full price. If WE cancel your reservation due to weather or any other condition after the 48 hours, we of course will not charge you anything.

    • I have an injury that prevents me from skiing, can I still do this? ~Yes, depending on your comfort level. There is walking, but on the ride you can sit.

    • Do we drive the sled by ourselves? ~No, we have a guide on your sled with you. You are able to help the musher drive the sled. There is also a place to sit. If you are looking to drive your own sled, look at our Sled School Adventure. That is a great experience as well!

    • How long is the experience? ~ The whole experience will last for about 1.5-2 hours. The actual sled time is arrive 35 minutes. Our course is very adventurous. It comes up a mountain and then comes back down. It is VERY thrilling.

    • Can you go without much snow? ~No, we need at least 6-8 PACKED down inches. Usually that means we need at least a foot or two of good snow to pack down. our brakes need to be able to catch to stop the sled, especially on our mountainous trail, as we do have cliffs in some parts.

    • What if the weather is bad? ~We will cancel your tour if the weather is not safe to drive in or sled in. Of course, no charge if WE cancel.

    • I don’t see the date or any dates on your calendar, do you openings? ~If you do not see the date you are looking for or it does not show any dates and says to call for availability, it means we are sold out for those dates. Sign up on our waitlist or join us for our Rescued, Inspirational Kennel Tour. If a ride does pop open, we will let you know right away!

    • Does the weight limit include your mushers? ~No, the weight limit only applies to your party. If a third rider can not fit on the sled within the weight limit, you will need an additional sled.
