Mission Statement

Every dog lives life, and living a good life is a work of art. We believe in creating an environment where dogs and people can thrive and grow as they learn from each other. We use dog sledding as a form of therapy for dogs and humans to navigate through life's greatest challenges. We work together to find a path that helps both dogs and humans find a way to become the best version of themselves. Learning from one another allows us to develop the human spirit, the spirit of each dog, and to find a path that leads to healing, recovery, and happiness. We believe in providing a safe haven where every dog can have the tools to succeed. This is Sledding For Hope, providing a path in whichever arena is necessary for both dogs and humans to overcome the obstacles in their past and to live their best life.

About This Cause

Rancho Luna Lobos LLC and Sledding For Hope Inc is a rescue and rehabilitation program for dogs (specializing in Nordic breeds). Our goal is to ensure that every dog gets to live their very best life. We believe that every dog should be a dog first and love the life they live. Our mission statement is, Every dog here lives life, and living a good life is a work of art. Many of our rescues come from abusive backgrounds and it can take years to work through their trauma. We have to help them to think like dogs again and learn that they can trust us, and know that we have their very best interest in mind. We never want to change a dog into being someone else, we want to channel their energy into doing something they love. Sometimes, that means running as a sled dog. We can never force a dog to run, they have to be born with that passion. So only if they absolutely love it, we will train them to run with the team. For those that do not love it, we take our time to make sure we put them on a path to live their very best life....sometimes that means being a happy ranch dog and sleeping in the sun, or helping them to find the perfect family. We offer tours and rides year round, summer camps, classes, training, and rehabilitation therapy centered around education and inspiration. Our mission is to inspire others to live their best life and treat everyone with kindness. All the money we earn from services goes back into operating and caring for our rescues. So every tour is so important. We also race professionally with our team of rescues and donated dogs. All the money we earn from this, goes back into our nonprofit, Sledding For Hope. With all the donations received through Sledding For Hope, we are able to use that to provide the very best life, environment, care, and program for each dog. With this money, we are able to help our rescue program and dog rehabilitation, with the hope to help every dog reach their full potential.

We have also teamed up with "Bruno's Amazing Adventures", a box series. We are book number 4. We hope that with this amazing new partnership, we will be able to take our mission to the next level. With the Coronavirus hitting so hard, we have lost a fair amount of business. Every tour is so important in helping to make sure we meet our goals and needs for both our rescues and our nonprofit. We hope to raise enough money to continue our efforts and ensure our beautiful furry pack has their needs met. Thank you for your help!
